Again, I must thanks some of our clients who have continuously support Perfect Moments Studio and recommend us to their friends and family members. Just like Winnie who got married at three years ago, have recently introduced us to her brother Lung Wei and his lovely fiance, Siew Siew.
Currently reside in Sarawak of East Malaysia, Lung Wei and Siew Siew purposely flew over to Penang of West Malaysia for their pre-wedding photography session with us.
We were having fun touring around Penang Island during shooting. Amongst the landmarks of Penang that we went to include Peranakan Mansion, Botanical Garden, Chymes, QEII (Jetty Marine Park) alongside with some heritage buildings. I particularly like some of the photos which are very Penang-Style.

It’s Thursday again and another week will be over soon. How time flies! My hearts and soul are still hanging sometimes in Cambodia although I am trying really hard to turn on my “working” mood. Put all the editing aside till my inspiration comes, do let to share the actual day wedding photography of Dr Anand and his beautiful bride. Hayley.
Hayley’s family flown in from the States to get part of this Holy Matrimony, which was held in the tropical paradise of Rasa Sayang Hotel, Penang. Glad that the weather was sunny that day, perfect for a garden wedding before everyone were ushered in to the ballroom for a Chinese set dinner.
By the way, for the couple who are planning for an outdoor wedding, you may find this post useful.
Till we catch up again.
Indian Wedding Ceremony Of Naziah & Dr Amaleswaran in Sitiawan, Perak

I have encountered some potential clients who question me on the charges instead of viewing the portfolio even during our very first meeting. Something isn’t right here, seriously. There is no harm to do a comparison, but is to compare the quality rather than pricing.
Dr. Amale is one of my clients who really spent time browsing through our portfolio and listen to my explanation on our services. I still remember him telling me that although the charges of our wedding photography and videography are higher than the others do, but he was totally impressed by our work and believe that we won’t disappoint them.
The traditional ritual was held in one of the hindu temples in Lumut. Both our photography and videography team arrived a day earlier and touched to receive warm hospitality from Dr. Amale’s and his family.
We totally enjoyed ourself at this ceremony, as well as the reception which was held later at Parkroyal Penang. The vibrant colours of the ceremony cheers us up. It was our pleasure to be part of you big day. Congratulations!
And also look forward to have more Indian wedding assignments in the close future…

Wedding Reception Of Wan Theng & Jeremy Ooi in G-Hotel Penang, Malaysia

I always believe that what make a wedding be truly memorable and exceptional isn’t depends on how much do you spend on your gowns, decorations, menu and etc… but the people surrounding.
Just like Jeremy and Wan Theng’s wedding reception at G Hotel Penang recently, it’s such a touching celebration. Before this, we had covered quite a number of wedding assignments at G Hotel Penang but none is the same, because of the people.
Both Jeremy and Wan Theng are working in Australia and they were back to Penang to celebrate their big day. Tea ceremony took place earlier in the evening followed by dinner reception.
The newly-wed were so grateful that they have a bunch of good friends that keep the celebration spirit alive throughout the whole night. It’s specially touching during the second march-in dance performed by the wedding entourage. Frankly speaking, I am kinda envy of the friendship they have here.
You’ll get what I mean by watching the slideshow below. Have a nice weekend ahead everyone!

Pre Wedding Photography Of Andrea & Jimmy in Lone Pine, E&O Hotel & Peranakan Mansion Penang

Many people whom I met before always say ‘wedding photography can make a lot of monies, you’re sure very rich’. But honestly, I am not. With the emerge of photography as many youngster’s hobby, wedding photography is getting more competitive, not to mention Perfect Moments Studio is just a small studio based in a small island named Penang.
So the toughest part is any business is always how to attract more customer. For a small business like us, A&P expenses is almost zero but thanks to word of mouth, Perfect Moments Studio reach many potential customers in Penang and other states including Kuala Lumpur.
Andrea, a very sweet soon-to-be bride is actually the sister of Sze Wei, my ex-client. Through the recommendation of the sis, Andrea signed up the pre-wedding and actual day packages with us right during our first meeting with no hesitation.
The pre-wedding photography session took place at the famous ever spots like Lone Pine Hotel, E&O Hotel and Peranakan Mansion. Although these places are no longer new to everyone, but the chemistry between Andrea and her husband to-be, Jimmy have certainly create a truly Penang feel in the photos.
I love these photos and I also really look forward to the actual day wedding photography and wedding cinematography session on 28 November at Lone Pine Penang. Did you know that Jimmy is Porsche’s Senior Consultant? So you know what is the highlight of their actual day will be? Till we meet again.
Wedding Celebration Of Saika & Asim in Rasa Sayang Resort Penang

I can’t express how excited I was when I left to KL to further my study after completed form 5. I was just like a bird that finally got released from a cage. And also have a pair of wings to fly. Freedom! Most people including myself also thought that I would settle down in KL after I started to work in KL too. Who knows, few years later, I realized that my heart still belongs to Penang, where I was born and grown up. That’s the time I told myself I will never want to relocate again. It is such a beautiful and peaceful island to live in and you can never find its uniqueness elsewhere.
So when this lady named Saika, who is from Bangladesh and her Pakitanese fiance Asim first enquire for our services, I am really proud of Penang because this couple has chosen my hometown as the venue of their destination wedding. This pair of lovely couple met each other in UK and now working in Singapore, while their family all flew down to Penang to witness their big day.
Although this is just a very small and intimate celebration, but the wedding was still carried on for 3 consecutive days as per their tradition does.
From the Mehandi, mosque ceremony, vows exchange ceremony to dinner reception, all were celebrated at the beautiful beach of Rasa Sayang Resort of Penang. The joy was around with everyone for all three days, if I were not having an important job task in hand, I guess I will also let my hair down and join everyone on the dance floor.
I must thanks Saika and Asim for letting us to be part of your memorable celebration and I also hope that you and your family had an enjoyable trip in Penang. Just give me a call when you’re here again, it’d be my pleasure to be your guide to this beautiful hometown of mine.

A Good Friend’s Wedding: Bryan + Lillian At Tropical Spice Garden
October 2, 2010 | Leave a Comment
I always love to get know more about the couple or try to make friend with them before the assignment day. Reason being is I always believe that the outcome would be different when shooting a friend’s wedding, it is more like an outing or party, filled with fun and laughter. And this good atmosphere was here once again last week, as our team was given the honor to celebrate the wedding of Bryan and Lillian together. The only different is, I have actually know Bryan through work at few years back.
Just like many couples do in the Western countries, Bryan and Lillian only had their wedding portrait taken on the wedding day itself. Lucky Bryan managed to get the permission to shoot at Lone Pine Hotel, which is still yet to open to public after refurbishment. Later on, we moved on to Chymes for to continue the session with a Shanghainese theme. It’s a super busy for us and the newly wed too.
Right after the shooting ended in noon, we rushed for the same day editing while the couple went back to change and get ready for the solemnization ceremony which was held at the Tropical Spice Garden by 4pm.
Last but not least, was the dinner reception at Forum Restaurant of Island Plaza, where we saw a great turnout of many wedding vendors in Penang. Wait, did I mention earlier that Bryan is a florist and he owns Ohara Florist!? So need not to explain further what magic works can a florist did for his own wedding. Simply awesome, love it.
Once again, congratulations my friend. May the love story of your two continue to blossom and be blessed by fruits of love soon. It’s nice to be there as your official photographer and invited guest at the same time. Thanks dude!
